When the Lord asked Cain about Abel and he replied am I my brother’s keeper. It was at that moment that men forsake woman again and it is still happening today. Sojourner Truth quote was “If the first woman God ever made was strong enough to turn the world upside down all alone, these women together ought to be able to turn it back, and get it right side up again! And now they is asking to do it, the men better let them.”
Brothers are still working on each other so God has to rely on a woman to be her own keeper until we get it together. This book is a work of brilliance. The author stated in the beginning this poetry book is a barrier breaker and it won’t follow tradition. I love the dedication, background inspiration, and the passion of this author. This book is a walking encouragement with Hallelujah in your pockets like now and later.
The author has a way to transform your mind into a modern child so you can see out their eyes. You can only save the streets once you see it from their point of view. This book covers drug addictions, foster homes, prostitution, sex, and spiritual battles. The most powerful thing I read is how she uplifts the parents to find love within their kids and if you don’t have kids. Love someone else child. This review is long and I love it. My soul was touched by reading this book. This is more than a Poetry book and she is more than a Poet. Yo’ Sista is a Poetic Prophet with anointing spit for the masses.
